Rene Pedro Ponce is a bilingual Cuban-American actor based in Miami. He stars as Angel Parrish in the horror feature Goon of the Lagoon (2025), streaming on Prime Video, Tubi, and Apple TV, and plays a supporting role in the Deadline-covered series Our Family Pride alongside Ethan Cutkosky (Shameless) and Garrett Clayton. Three more features are in post-production: DEADSICK (Hector, one of the film’s two protagonists), Trouvaille (lead role), and Taheri Studios’ Cuttlefish. He trained with former MGM casting executive Paul Weber, CSA, and former CBS Director of Talent and Casting Natalie Ballesteros. He speaks fluent Cuban Spanish, holds EMT credentials, and trains in four combat disciplines.
